Cultural visits

Just a few meters from our campsite you can visit places of great interest.

• Villas: The majestic 18th-century Navajas villas with large gardens are located in the center of town. These residences were chosen as summer houses by Valencian tourism due to the good climate and the privileged situation of Navajas.
• The Church "Iglesia Parroquial de la Inmaculada Concepción" dates back to the 18th century. Inside it is the relic of the Virgen de la Luz (patron saint of the municipality).
• Town Hall: a villa that, together with several others in the upper part of the town, is a magnificent example of the architecture that was built at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th for recreational purposes.
• The Museum of the sculptor Manolo Rodríguez, born in Navajas, is located in the Tourist Office building, where you can see the works from their beginnings to the present.
• The Arab Tower was built with the aim of serving as a watchtower and communications in the fights between the Moors and the Christians. It can be seen from our campsite.
• The hermitage "de la Esperanza" can be visited by taking a walk from our campsite. Very close to it are the ruins of the Monastery of the Order of Jerónimos.

Segorbe is the capital of the Alto Palancia region and is only 3 km away. from our campsite. This population has many places of cultural interest:

• The Cathedral Basilica of Segorbe is made up of the Temple, the Bell Tower, the Cloister and the Cathedral Museum.

SANCTUARY OF THE HOLY CAVE (Santuario de la Cueva Santa)

The Sanctuary is 12 km away. from Altura. The image of the Virgin is found inside a deep cave.

VALLEY OF CHRIST CHURCH (Cartuja de Vall de Cristo)

The ruins of the Cartuja de Vall de Cristo are located just over 1 km. of the population of Altura.

Sagunto is only 20 minutes by car from our campsite. The Roman ruins and the Castle are must-see places. We can also see the Jewish quarter, the remains of the Temple of Diana, the Church of Santa María and the Church of El Salvador.

To walk the streets of Sagunto is to go back to history, when the Romans founded that wonderful city.

The beautiful city of Teruel is 90 km away. from our campsite. Its important Mudejar heritage is undoubtedly one of the city's greatest attractions. For the little ones, do not forget to visit Dinópolis.
